Job Summary/Scope:



This position is responsible for providing secretarial support to the Firm Partners, Associates and/or Legal Assistants as needed.


Duties and
Responsibilities:







Files patent applications, prepares information disclosure forms, and handles routine patent application correspondence.
Performs other clerical duties such as providing information to callers, taking dictation, composing and typing routine correspondence, and reading and routing incoming mail.
Files correspondence and legal documents in office filing system, opens and closes files, and maintains information on clients.
Arranges travel, appointments, conference calls, etc.


Essential Job Specifications/
Qualifications:

Excellent written communication skills to edit and proofread correspondence and legal documents.
Ability to type accurately and efficiently from draft or dictation with a minimum of 60 wpm.
Ability to deal professionally and effectively with both internal and external clients on all levels.
Ability to analyze routine administrative details of limited complexity such as resolving minor scheduling conflicts, making travel arrangements, redirecting mail, etc.
Requires the ability to regularly report to work on the days and times scheduled.

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent
3 years secretarial experience in a law firm or legal department.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
