We are looking for another senior web developer to join our development teams at Carvana. You would be working with other developers on various Azure based web applications, both public and internal to support the Carvana site. At Carvana, we regularly work on very complex JavaScript based web applications, consumer facing public web sites, Azure services, Azure queues and everything in between. Along with early adoption, developers are given everything they need to be successful with these emerging technologies, including subscriptions to Pluralsight as well as in-person training when required.
Carvana is an agile organization that uses Kanban in an effort to reduce overhead and bring the development side of the organization closer to the business side. Because of this relationship, our product owners have complete buy-in to the processes required for producing quality software and they understand how these processes allow them to create competitive advantages and improve their business processes and capabilities.
As a Senior Web Developer, you will create, maintain, and optimize source code for large web services and web applications using the above technologies.
In addition:
Participate end to end in the product life cycle: requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, and implementation
Participate in peer discussions on architecture and overall direction of our applications
Work with team members to design solutions that are supported by the architecture of the existing systems.
Note: The number of years of experience are guidelines. We are actually looking for candidates that can demonstrate proficiency in the following areas of expertise. Candidates with fewer years of experience, but a mastery in those areas, are highly encouraged to reach out to us!

years of experience in .NET development (C#, WCF, Web Services, )
Should be very familiar with MVC based web development and C# in general
3
years of experience in web based front end development (JavaScript, AJAX, JQuery, HTML, CSS)
Should be familiar with the DOM, DOM manipulation and the ins and outs of asynchronous web development including a strong JavaScript skillset overall
Should be familiar with CSS and HTML in general
An understanding and experience in application security from the web service and web application perspective
A good understanding of design patterns and N-Tier architecture
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
Good communication and collaboration skills
Carvana developers work very closely with strong supporting teams and will need great interpersonal skills
Specific skillsets that are not required but nice to have
