DRIVING REQUIREMENT: In-state travel and mobile office is required. An acceptable driving record for the last 39 months is required including no DUI, suspensions or revocations, and less than 8 points on your license. Job offer is contingent upon candidate providing a motor vehicle record, at their own expense, 1 week after job offer. Employees who drive on state business must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.). Employees may be required to use their own transportation as well as maintaining valid motor vehicle insurance and current Arizona vehicle registration; however, mileage will be reimbursed.
The Program & Project Specialist I is responsible for compliance inspections of licensed/certified programs serving individuals with developmental disabilities, through statewide on-site visits; also assesses compliance with appropriate statutes, rules, regulations and standards of health and safety. This position also conducts new program reviews for licensed/certified programs; provides technical assistance and training as needed. The Program & Project Specialist evaluates and writes detailed reports of monitoring results, reviews files for critical indicators to ensure compliance with statutes, rules and standards applicable to the service. Ensures contracted providers out of compliance conduct remediation or develop Corrective Action Plans to get them back into compliance. The position will follow-up to ensure that those remediation's/plans are implemented and successful; accurately report the results of inspections/reviews; keep supervisor apprised of unusual findings of inspections and follow up activities completed to resolve; attend meetings and trainings as directed by the Supervisor. The Program & Project Specialist has the authority to provide technical assistance as necessary, determine areas of non-compliance and the need for remediation or a Corrective Action Plan, determine health and safety concerns and request immediate resolution by the provider; determine success of interventions by the provider to resolve issues and/or make recommendations for improvement. The position enters and maintains monitoring results in electronic files and databases.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES (KSA's):
Knowledge of: Developmental Disabilities licensing/certification statutes, rules, regulations, programmatic requirements and standards relevant to the contracted service settings; contract expectations for other Division services; personnel practices; staff training; behavior modification techniques; record keeping; health, safety and sanitation best practices; understanding of a systems approach for process improvement.
Skill in: Interviewing; oral and written communication and documentation; public speaking; analysis of large amounts of data; interpreting federal and state laws; educating and assisting Division providers on various quality activities; database development and computer utilization; report writing; facilitating meetings; interpreting contracts; problem solving, decision making and negotiation.
Ability to: Establish positive and professional relationships with providers; analyze, interpret, evaluate and/or think constructively; apply rules and regulations.
IDEAL/PREFERRED CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate will have up to two (2) years of experience providing knowledge and understanding of programmatic standards and contract monitoring of contracted settings or other services; experience running or supervising community residential, day or employment settings and experience working with the individual support plans and/or care plans.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
