9 Quick Apply Full-time 1 hour ago Full Job Description Trexis Insurance is looking for an experienced full-time Casualty Claims Supervisor.
The Claims Supervisor ensures timely handling and closure of their assigned unit's automobile claims by insuring the adjusters make contacts, investigate and resolve their claims correctly and quickly.
This person will be responsible for unit workflows and audits; performance reviews; interviews, hiring and training of personnel.
This position requires good interpersonal skills including the ability to deal with all levels of people; above average research skills; the ability to gather data and present ideas at a level commensurate with the intended audience; the ability to multitask on a daily basis.
The ideal candidate will possess the experience and knowledge to handle serious and complex coverage, liability and damage claims in order to develop personnel on a global and personal level through focused training and unit meetings.
Essential Responsibilities Use of Network resource to determine coverage, assign new losses and review open files to ensure the assigned Unit maintains excellent file quality in preparation for the audit of their unit.
Monitor reserves for accuracy, review claim checks issued by adjusters as well as electronic approval of all payments above each adjuster's authority level and monitor Unit BI/UMBI metrics to ensure BI/UMBI severity is maintained at an acceptable level.
Encourage our BI/UMBI Cashout program including the use of our Meds Incurred.
Proactive File Management promoting the prompt and efficient handling of claims emphasizing the importance of timely review of new transfers, demands as well as medical packages.
In addition, offers to settle and follow-up will be evaluated for timeliness.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Education College Degree required Experience Commensurate work experience of a minimum of 7 years combined handling and/or supervising injury claims.
Experience handling large loss and litigation claims with strong adjusting and negotiation skills required Must be well versed in tort laws for all states in which we do business as well as expertise with Department of Insurance regulations and their Fair Claims Practice Act.
Excellent oral and written communication skills Knowledge of Best Practices and processes Knowledge of Microsoft Office, AS400 and Internet browsing.
Good general office skills including faxing, copying and filing Ability to type at least 30 wpm.
Ability to work well with little hands-on supervision.
Overnight travel occasionally required to meet with remote staff members in other states and/or to attend depositions, mediations or trials.
Adjuster license preferred What We Offer:
