L1 Tech Support (Unix, Networking)
A Jr-mid level technical support engineer with hands on experience of Unix platform basic support to manage a L1 voice and basic troubleshooting support for datacenter Host -to-Host migration project for one of our biggest clients in banking domain.
The individual should be skilled to manage the basic technical understanding mainframe space, basic networking, login issues and must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills with ability to work independently and/or as part of larger team.
Technical Skills:
o Experience in a technical Troubleshooting role (voice and non-voice) o Working knowledge of various Operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and Unix.
o Basic knowledge of firewalls, protocols, and security o Basic knowledge of various FTP communication technologies.
o Working knowledge of FTP transport and payload security technologies.
o Working knowledge of cryptography settings (ciphers, KEX, HMAC) o Working knowledge of verbose logsGood to have - o Understanding of Datacenter migration and Host -to-Host migration.
Process Skills:
o Make outbound calls or receive inbound callso Can be talking to someone from CFO level to the individual responsible for making coding changes.
o Professional handling of calls.
Goal is to ensure client is aware of timeline to get changes implemented and drive complianceo Send outbound emails / Respond to inbound emailso Perform troubleshooting with clientso Document all interactions using tracking toolo Track/confirm when client's changes will be promoted for both CAT and Prod Behavioral Skills :
