Mechanical Facilities Global Design Engineer - Semiconductors (REMOTE)
Our client seeks a Global Facilities Mechanical System Design Engineer to join the Global Facilities Team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in providing high-quality engineering services and specifications for the planning, design, construction, start-up, and commissioning of discipline-specific facilities systems. These systems are critical to support semiconductor device and materials manufacturing across the Global Manufacturing Network.Your key responsibilities will include:
Overseeing design standards for production support mechanical systems, including chilled water, heating water, make-up air, clean room air, abated exhaust, clean dry air, and process vacuum. Supervising the physical layout of equipment, piping, and system components. Specifying and procuring engineered equipment. Developing design scope and cost estimates. Qualifications for This Role:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (required), with a Master's Degree being highly desirable. Minimum 10 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, with a specific focus on design and construction of semiconductor or similar mechanical systems (such as chilled water, heating water, make-up air, clean room air, abated exhaust, clean dry air, and process vacuum). Experience in the semiconductor industry. Familiarity with applicable national codes, mechanical system engineering and maintenance standards, guidelines, and safe work practices. Proficiency in applying mechanical theory and related knowledge to design, test, and troubleshoot operational systems and equipment within a large manufacturing plant. Ability to read and interpret one-lines and control schematics. Ability to prioritize and schedule workload, handling multiple tasks concurrently. Willingness to travel domestically or internationally, up to 50% of the time. These qualifications are essential for success in this role.
