Currently, we are seeking a Roadway Construction Owner's Representative to join our team.
This project assignment will be based at our client's facility in South Phoenix, Arizona, and will work directly with our client's construction project management team and vendors to provide leadership and administration for an estimated 12-18-month assignment.
The Roadway Construction Owner's Representative will ensure the successful refurbishing construction project of a test track, specifically focusing on the durability of the banked/parabolic curve portion and guard rails of the test track.
The selected candidate will work with Client Representatives, General Contractors, and other Craft Personnel overseeing the ensuring work meets the specifications and demands of the customer.
You will assist with the scope definition and determine reliable pricing, as well as assist with pre-bids, evaluation of proposals, and managing the construction effort.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact and act as the Owner's Representative for all roadway construction aspects of the project.
Plan, direct, and document vendor assignments and activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.
Organize and lead a diverse team of vendors and internal personnel, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
Track construction and installation schedules, identifying and addressing any deviations or delays.
Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with contract documents and industry standards.
Prepare detailed weekly reports outlining project progress, challenges, and recommended actions.
Facilitate coordination among General Contractors, client representatives, and other vendors to streamline project execution.
Provide monthly contract budget tracking reports to ensure financial transparency and accountability.
Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic project environment.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated expertise in roadway construction standards and design criteria, particularly within the electrical domain.
Proficiency in technical aspects of construction projects, with a keen understanding of asphalt and concrete roadway construction.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office suite products, for effective communication and documentation.
Thorough knowledge of project engineering processes and procedures, coupled with excellent execution planning abilities.
Deep understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures and practices, ensuring a safe work environment.
Proven ability to organize and manage complex construction activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
Familiarity with project control systems, enabling effective monitoring and management of project parameters.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a meticulous approach to documentation.
Familiarity with contract terms and administrative practices within the construction industry.

Minimum of 5 years' experience in roadway construction and design.
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or Construction Management preferred, or equivalent experience.
