Job Duties:
Manage and lead IT project development of Matson's software applications.
Adhere to standards defined in the design and development phases of the Matson software development life cycle (SDLC).
Provide technical solutions to business requirements and direction to development teams.
Coordinate with technical teams and provide estimates to deliver the project successfully and within targeted timelines.
Create and execute development plans for multiple projects and provide project status and timelines to business unit.
Collaborate with other development team managers and architects, including senior IT staff to make enterprise-wide technical and architectural decisions.
Ensure smooth deployment of application components in all computing environments while working closely with production operations and build and deployment teams.
Upgrade and improve Matson's technical framework and best practices for technical architecture.
Provide technical guidance to the development teams and educate teams on advanced technical concepts and best coding practices.
Design and execute the best solutions to system problems or requests.
Ensure that team follows appropriate change control processes for deliverables and ensure all application and integration deliverables are thoroughly tested by coordinating with business analysts, QA, and architecture teams.
Communicate technical concepts as they relate to business problems within a cross-functional group setting.
Serve as an expert in doing technical evaluation of packaged products or new technology.
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computational Techniques, or related field.
Experience Required:
5 years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupation.
Special Requirements:
Must have at least 1 year of prior work experience in each of the following:
Gathering technical business requirements to develop conceptual and technical designs.
Developing and leading projects using Java, web technologies, Oracle, and MySQL databases.
Creating libraries and frameworks used across multiple applications and development projects using Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
Developing SOAP and RESTful web services using JAX-WS and JAX-RS APIs.
Developing Web pages using Struts, Spring MVC, and J2EE web frameworks (JSP, JavaScript, Ajax, iQuery, HTML, and CSS).
Supporting development, integration, and User Acceptance testing phases using Junit, JMockit, TestNG, Selenium, JMeter, and Jenkins.
Writing standard operating procedures and training documents.
Some telecommuting permitted (hybrid).
Salary:
$188,469 to $193,469 per year.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
