Job Description:
Part-time Recreation Leaders are the primary frontline contact position at the our client's admissions desk.
They assist with opening and closing their facility.
, interacting with internal and external customers in-person and over the phone, and general clerical duties.
Their duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Demonstrate superior seamless and inclusive customer service Respectfully engaging in personal, written, telephone contact with external and internal customers.
Respond to questions from the public; being tactful and courteous.
Greet guests and provide wayfinding information for the museum, park, and other are attractions.
Take admissions using ActiveNet point of sale system; following established Financial Management cash handling procedures.
Including papers associated with opening and closing a cash drawer.
Distributing educational and informational materials for children and walk-in guests.
Answer a multi-line phone system, take messages, and transfer phone calls to the appropriate staff members.
Assisting with the oversight of lobby, classroom, and community room ensuring that areas are prepared for upcoming activities.
Preparation can include setting up and putting away tables, chairs, and supplies.
Lift and secure outdoor gates weighing up to 50lbs Turning on/off lights and open/close doors.
General housekeeping duties (cleaning Plexiglas in exhibits and public contact surfaces) in the lobby, exhibit galleries, and general work area.
Removing trash and restocking supplies in restrooms when needed.
Performing general clerical tasks and operate office machines such as photocopiers Working cooperatively and communicating with the Visitor Services Supervisor and other City employees and the public.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Wear appropriate attire for a public contact position.
