Located in the West Valley, we guide our students in recognizing their strengths, honoring culture and diversity, believing they can achieve high levels of success, and using their skills in order to make a positive difference in their communities and the world.
We have a job opening for the 2023-24 school year for 6th-8th grade ELA.
ACCLAIM's curriculum is based on the Core Knowledge Sequence and the State Standards.
The Virtues Project is woven into everything we do at ACCLAIM, and nets a healthy learning environment.
Each day starts with a lesson on the Virtue of the Week, and each week ends with a longer activity about the virtue.
Teachers do at least one Outdoor Education lesson per week related to their content.
We integrate movement into our instruction to improve student engagement and health.
Eric Jensen's Brain-Based Learning principles are studied and applied to help students maximize their learning and retention.
Our school is divided into three clusters:
K-2, 3-5, and 6-8.
These clusters meet weekly to reflect, support, and plan.
Ours is a 4-day school week.
Classes (with a m ximum of 25) are in session from 7:
50am-3pm.
We have professional development after school on Mondays, and clusters meet once a week after school.
One Friday per quarter we have Teacher Work Day for data analysis and finalizing grades Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Education.
Arizona State Fingerprint Clearance card 3 years of teaching experience
