SMT Operator Level II
Details:
SMT Operator Level II Job Responsibilities Setup and operation of surface mount pick and place machines, including tending to machines by quickly and efficiently loading or replenishing feeders with reels of components, entering programs into automated placement machinery, setting up support fixtures, and prepping assembly lines for next shop order.
Maintain components in stocking locations as required, promptly returning after each use, and always observing proper ESD, MSL, contamination prevention, and handling practices.
Setup and operation of automatic and semi-automatic stencil printers.
Setup and operation of the mass reflow oven.
Perform manual component placement and inspection.
Perform routine machine maintenance.
Perform detailed quality inspection of populated circuit boards.
Troubleshooting component placement and machine issues.
Determine ways to constantly improve safety, quality, and productivity.
Responds to written or verbal instructions.
Must be willing and able to rotate through a variety of manufacturing processes, performing all types of tasks in a cell/team environment.
Maintain the manufacturing work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
Contributes to the team; exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others.
Performs other assignments as assigned.

Education/Training and Experience Requirements Minimum 2
years of operating SMT equipment in a fast-paced environment.
Must be familiar with Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) electronic components and SMT assembly processes.
High School Diploma /GED Familiar with Lean Manufacturing Familiar with ESD discipline Skills Required Safety awareness Attention to detail.
Hand-eye coordination Be able to read computers and comprehend process documentation.
Ability to work well in a diverse environment.
Other Requirements Must be able to work extended hours on occasion.
Able to stand for lengthy periods of time and stay on task.
Able to properly lift and transport up to 40 pounds.
Able to show up on time and perform duties for the entirety of the shift.
