POSITION SUMMARY Leads, coaches, and mentors a team of passionate software engineers, and database analysts.
Establishes and communicates the business objectives/ vision and aligns the team around this vision in their day-to-day work.
Ensures that all software application products will result in quality products that delight SQL/LSA customers.
Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.
CORE FUNCTIONS 1.
Provides team oversight during the full software development life cycle, from conception, design, and implementation and testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance.
2.
Provides and/or reviews time estimates, technical recommendations, and proposed solutions based on technical and business requirements.
3.
Works with enterprise-level systems at a program and project level.
4.
Leads the strategy, planning and design/architecture of software developments solutions, and the refinement of existing frameworks, processes, and tools.
5.
Manages a strong software and data analytics organization through defined key objective indicators and specified goals that align to the company's direction and objectives.
6.
Assists the CIO in the creation and management of both the core budget related to the areas of responsibility and the program development budget SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for the full management of direct and indirect reports.

Hires, trains, conducts performance management, evaluations, and directs the workflow for the staff.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to lead software development team to develop, document and maintain innovative software applications and systems.
Ability to develop and manage software engineering applications utilizing standard development tools.
Ability to manage hiring, career plans, training as well as performance reviews for software engineering team.
Strategic and forward thinker in terms of technology and digital transformation Ability to review all documents related to software requirements and participate in brainstorming sessions.
Ability to work collaboratively with other IT&S verticals as well as the business to ensure the right level of proactive focus is occurring to design for manufacturability, testing and reliability.
Comprehensive knowledge base in his or her technical field and continually augments the team's experiences and skills with the latest training, technologies, and techniques.
Ability to lead, drive and implement proactive actions and events to identify and implement opportunities for quality and consistent improvement in products and processes Knowledge in developing proposals for projects to improve reliability, product quality and developmental cycle time and support continuous improvements to ensure that customer needs/requirements are adequately translated into product requirements Ability to provide employee coaching, mentoring, development, and team building.
Willingness to participate actively in agile software development process and may act as Scrum Master/Program Manager.
Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, management, and technical vision to entire engineering team.
Ability to develop and implement software engineering plans appropriately.
Ability to manage software engineering schedules, budget, and resource allocation.
Ability to manage joint development with third party vendors as well as outsourced development.
Ability to assist software development team to attain optimal team performance through removing technical obstacles.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in related field.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Advanced ability to build and lead an effective development and innovation teams including customer and / or vendor teams.
Eight (8) years' leadership experience that includes a combination of managing direct reports and / or leading teams.
including five (5) years' managing direct reports.
Executive level communications, tailored to unique situations.
Five years' experience in the Software Development / Engineering leadership position Experience building and leading software development teams with success.
Demonstrated experience in defining and implementing practical and effective strategy, policies, processes, and tools across SQL/LSA systems.
The Director of Software is someone who has built and led teams that are well versed in state-of-the-art tools and cutting-edge technologies that enable the software processes and functions.

Experience and knowledge developing strategic planning, leadership, and organization delivery for master data management.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
