Manager II, Logistics Applications EDI - REMOTE

Overview:
This position is responsible for providing solution design, development, logical map creation, maintenance, and support work for the EDI & API operations of Logistics within the EDI team.
The incumbent will execute company's EDI and API strategy and work-plans.
In particular, this requires leading various projects and service requests with large enhancement of medium to high complexity, and to collaborate with trading partners, Logistics business users, vendors, Customs, and various IT team members to design and develop EDI, API solutions to support APL Logistics business strategy and operation.
The Manager II will possess a strong working knowledge of technical and functional expertise in EDI programming and perform EDI (ANSI-X12 / EDIFACT / XML / CSV / JSON / SOAP+XML) logical map development related to logistics industry, using standard protocols of AS2 / SFTP / FTP / PESIT / MQ / MQFTE etc.
, and good API working knowledge on JSON, Swagger, Open API, WSDL, SOAP+XML, transformations, API connectors, Catalog, publish, maintain, manage access in API Portals and various API authentications like API Key, OAuth, basic userid/password, SSL etc.
, and possess good understanding of Logistics and SCM operations to conduct and manage project development.
This position will report directly to the Senior Manager, EDI Solutions in APL Logistics, and may require some overseas travelling when necessary.
Key Result Areas:
Deliverables include:
EDI and API services, systems and projects are delivered on schedule, on budget and meet business requirements Key stakeholders of Logistics business are engaged, involved and satisfied with the EDI and API services, systems and projects delivered Manage project work plan, schedule and deliverables well with users of APL Logistics, and provide effective engagement with other IT teams within Technology Services and Group IT, meeting the overall objectives of APL Logistics.
Key Accountabilities:
Work with APLL business users.
Customers and application groups to identify business requirements, estimate development, and prioritize request Design and develop solutions producing appropriate documentation with high degree of re-usability Create and maintain EDI / API technical specifications (Logical Mapping) and write technical application change specifications related to customer onboarding Maintain relationship with trading partner technical team Manage the change control process ensuring adequate testing at all stages of development, identification of acceptance criteria and requestor signoff is received for all projects Manage service provider quality and performance to ensure that services are delivered according to the specified service levels and requirements Optimize system resources and applications, and evaluate alternative EDI and API solutions to improve the overall Logistics business operations when needed Qualifications
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline or equivalent work experience is required Experiences:
Minimum 8 years of EDI working experience, with at least 5 years in providing support and assistance to customers relating to Onboarding EDI and managing API projects in hybrid cloud environment model.
Proven track record in managing complex IT projects with business users and internal IT team working together collectively to deliver results Skill Sets:
Strong EDI working knowledge and with analysis & project management skills.
Good API working knowledge on JSON, Swagger, Open API, WSDL, SOAP+XML, transformations, API connectors, Catalog, publish, maintain, manage access in API Portals and various API authentications like API Key, OAuth, basic userid/password, SSL etc.
Effective written and oral communication skills Possess good technical expertise and perform EDI (ANSI-X12 / EDIFACT / XML / CSV / JSON / SOAP+XML) logical map development related to logistics industry, and using standard protocols of AS2 / SFTP / FTP / PESIT / MQ / MQFTE etc.

English Spanish - Nice to have Candidates must be within 250 miles of an APL Logistics facility or office.
The typical salary range for this position is:
$74,760 - $110,000.
The actual salary offer will take into account multiple factors including skills, experience, education and location.
