Job Type Unclassified Department Human Resources About the Position The Human Resources Associate is an entry-level professional classification that performs responsible work in one or more major functional areas of Human Resources, such as recruitment and selection, position management, benefits, employee relations, performance management, and compensation plan administration.
Work involves the application of professional knowledge and personal judgment to a variety of technical human resources problems.
An employee in this classification works under general supervision on routine and regular assignments and under closer supervision on special assignments or when first assigned to a department.
Learns to exercise a fair amount of independence, initiative, and professional expertise in conducting day-to-day work, solving issues, and determining when it is appropriate to escalate matters.
