We are looking for someone who's reliable, detail oriented, follows directions and is highly motivated to help our detail orientated grading crews.

Markham currently has an immediate opening for the following:
Grade Checker Requirements Sets grade stakes to guide earth moving equipment operators in sloping highways and fill embankments, using measuring instruments and hand tools.
Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment and machinery.
Coordinate with contractors and sub contractors to complete job.
Read and understand blueprints, sketches, building plans, and drawings.
Read survey stakes to determine grade specification for embankments.
Measures horizontally and vertically, in specified ratio, front survey stake to juncture of embankment and initial excavation, using survey rod and eye level.
Must be knowledgeable in OSHA regulations regarding excavation methods and practices.
Ability to perform specific duties related to setting and checking grade.
Ability to set stakes or hold rod at designated points to determine uniformity of contour.
Ability to accurately slope stake cuts and fills.
Have a working knowledge of surveying equipment and use of lasers leveling equipment.
Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years experience.
Valid drivers license.
