Summary:
We are seeking a Human Resources Leader to lead HR for Costa Rica.
The HR Lead will play a pivotal role in developing people strategies that accelerate the goals of the business.
The Human Resources Leader is responsible for developing in partnership with the Global HR Team, programs that elevate talent, drive performance and accountability and ensure company growth.
This role will serve as tip of the spear for the Costa Rica team and has a wide remit including Strategy, Employee Relations, Benefits Administration, Engagement and Policy Development.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategyo Develop in partnership with the Global HR Team, programs that elevate talent, drive performance and accountability and ensure company growth.
o Create people strategies that accelerate the goals of the business.
o Analyzes the workforce, understands the needs of the employee base and forms action plans around feedback from employees.
o Illustrates personas of employee base demographics so programs are impacting the moments that matter most and balance cost investment by innovating our offering to employees that will resonate most and have impact.
o Owns creation of action plans in partnership with the business as it relates to engagement feedback.
o Leads with metrics and business case mentality in shaping people strategy.
Total Rewardso Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, leave policies, and retirement plans.
o Assist employees with benefit inquiries and enrollment.
o Advocates and brings transparency to organizations investment in region and illustrates total rewards offering.
o Ensures we are paying for performance and leverages benchmarks locally to ensure we remain competitive.
Onboarding, Training & Development:
o Coordinate onboarding for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
o Partners to drive speed to productivity of new hires.
o Supports career path and development needs of our critical to retain team members.
o Partners with business to ensure recognition programs are effective and drive right level of engagement.
Employee Relationso Handle employee inquiries, concerns, and conflicts, providing guidance and resolutions.
o Maintain a positive and productive working environment by addressing issues promptly and professionally.
o Maintain our associate secure confidentiality.
o Expertise in local labor laws.
Compliance and Documentationo Stay up-to-date with Costa Rican labor laws and ensure the organization's HR practices align with legal requirements.
o Maintain personnel records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
HR Policy and Procedure Enforcemento Help to develop and enforce HR policies and procedures, fostering a fair and consistent work environment.
o Educate employees on company policies and ensure compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE10
Years of ExperienceUniversity Degree PreferredCERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONSNone required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIESBilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
Proven experience in building an HR function in Costa Rica.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
