DevOps Release Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the charge in defining and delivering enterprise-level solutions that guarantee operational stability and streamline automated deployment in production environments.This is a fully REMOTE contract role through the end of 2024. PRINCIPAL
Responsibilities:
Create efficient, reliable infrastructure with code automated processes. Automate development and release pipelines, starting with application builds and deployments, as well as testing and infrastructure provisioning and configurationWork to eliminate manual processes. Lead the effort to build and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test and production environments. Provide operational support to resolve and/or escalate production incidents or issues outside normal working hours including support during software deployment/release activities. Participate in all phases of system development, deployment, configuration, and monitoring including delivery, performance and availability, alerting, data integrity, security and capacity planning. Manage configuration and deployment of large server clusters, Terraform, serverless framework, and CloudFormation. Create and present AWS or technology solutions or designs, logical and physical diagrams, review architecture diagrams with development teams. Collaborate with infrastructure engineering and application management to resolve production issues that impact user experience and overall application health. Establishes DevOps best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service. Identification of root causes on critical problems throughout the platform, incident reports and the organization of the engineering team members in steps to resolve issues. Commit to success of delivery teamAssist team members in any activities needed to drive successful outcomes. Analyze, recommend, and implement DevOps tools as required to improve and automate processes. Participate and lead DevOps community of practiceServe as a DevOps evangelist throughout the organization, promoting communication, collaboration, and integration.MINIMUM
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in IT or related field (Required) Minimum 2 years' experience in a DevOps Engineer role (Required) Minimum 2 years' experience with Amazon Web Services (Required) Experience using Agile/Scrum methodology(Required) PREFERRED
Qualifications:
Experience in continuous integration and continuous deployment. High-level of understanding of the software development lifecycle or process flow and analysis. Should have some experience with security and DevSecOps, helping to promote security in software development and operations. Experience with automation/configuration management using the following:
o Amazon Web Services (Lambda, ApiGateway, IAM) o Docker, Serverless framework & CloudFormation o Jenkins pipelines, bash, Linux o git, GitHub, JavaScript (TS), NPM (package management) o Lambda, ApiGateway, CloudFormation o Angular, Node.js DevOps Release Engineer Recommended Skills Angular4 Application Lifecycle Management Architecture Bash (Scripting Language) Capacity Planning Cloudformation Apply to this job. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
