EdgeCore has four markets with power and shovel ready campuses, operational data center buildings, and the ability to expand investment into new markets.Opportunity OverviewEdgeCore is seeking a Building Automation and Controls Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join its growing team. This position will be part of the design and construction team and be responsible for the reliability and quality of the Building Management System (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) and Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) systems. The candidate will support data center daily operations, quality/standardization initiatives, and oversee the design and construction process as it relates to these systems.Responsibilities Provide programmatic guidance and support in development and implementation of EdgeCore's BMS, EPMS and DCIM architecture. Work directly with general contractors, controls subcontractors and design team partners to ensure process and compliance to EdgeCore requirements and systems are met. Oversee the design and construction process of the low voltage systems to support BMS, EPMS and DCIM for EdgeCore Data Centers. Complete drawing review and provide feedback for controls scope. Support EdgeCore Site Operations, including direct oversight to all system configuration and component upgrades. During construction of EdgeCore Data Centers, provide QAQC oversight of programming of controls scope throughout the commissioning process. Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, IT and telecom disciplines to make modifications to BMS settings to manage the building space as needed. Collaborate with EdgeCore Site Operations to diagnose, oversee, troubleshoot and repair controls hardware including controllers, relays, measurement devices, actuators, and associated equipment with mechanical and electrical device systems. Accountable for all BMS, DCIM and EPMS changes and enhancements at EdgeCore Data Center locations. Responsible for the security of all devices, confirming proper firmware, vulnerability management, configuration management as well as back up and restoration process. Lead meetings with internal and external stakeholders as it relates to the controls systems within EdgeCore Data Centers. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, construction management or related field, preferred. 7 to 10 years of experience with building and infrastructure planning, design, and construction management; including rehabilitation and new design, preferred. 5 to 7 years of experience with mechanical and electrical infrastructure and associated BMS and EPMS systems supporting critical environments, required. Ability to test and write modifications in multiple languages of systems software, required. Experience interfacing with Niagra, DGLux, ALC, Skyspark, Mosquito, and Schneider EcoStruxure, preferred. Experience with Rockwell Automation, Distech Controls and ALC Controls, preferred. Formal certifications in control systems architecture (CCE, CAP, CCST, CMVP, PLC Practitioner), preferred. Ability to work with and manage many groups and disciplines including vendors, required. Strong verbal and written communication skills, required. Proficiency with MS Office, Bluebeam and cloud based storage applications, such as SharePoint, required. Proficiency with common communications protocols and systems such as BACNET, Modbus, Ethernet IP, MSTP, ALC web control and Ethernet TCP, required. Proficiency in Java and HTML, preferred. Experience with legacy and emerging communications protocols and systems such as MQTT, BACNET Secure Connect, RF, RS-232, RS-485, SNMP, CANBUS, and mesh networks, preferred. Travel up to 25%, may change based upon the needs of the business. Compensation:
This is a salaried position with a target annual base compensation between $165,989 - $175,000 per year, plus a performance-based annual bonus as well as equity compensation.
