The Turboshaft Engines Project Engineering team has an opening for a Lead Project Engineer to lead development of moderately complex engine systems, modules, and test activity. Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate the interest, aptitude, and experience associated with the design, development, test and support of gas turbine engines for rotary-wing applications. Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development and in-service support activity for a component, module or engine test through all aspects of the Integrated Product Delivery and Support (IPDS) process, on schedule, on budget and in compliance with all technical requirements. Broad indirect span of control of approximately 10 full-time equivalent engineers. Cost account manager for assigned scope, including Earned Value Management System reporting. Annual budgetary responsibility approximately $4M. Expected to serve as the single point leader for the component, module or test assignments Lead a diverse cross-functional team to accomplish the scope Escalate effectively with leadership and cross-functionally across the organization Strong commitment to customer satisfaction Bias toward creative thinking and innovation in product design and approach to everyday work Implement design-to-cost and variation-reduction strategies Promote and build strong team working relationships Manage within very difficult resource constraints Identify gaps and risks on behalf of the team Balances workload of the team members Monitor work of team members to recognize when they are stuck or off track Leverages technical experts to review the technical work of the team Leads trade studies and RCCA activities Communicate project status with internal and external customers Guide and develop early career engineers U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTSDue to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status. YOU MUST HAVE Bachelor's Degree in Engineering 8
years' engineering experience in design, development, and/or test of complex mechanical system. WE VALUE Prior experience leading gas turbine engine design and development activities. Testing of moderately complex systems. Excellent oral and written communications. Program/Project Management experience. Strong cost account management skills. Demonstrates a bias for action and ability to work independently. Prioritizes time and resources effectively. Ability to build constructive working relationships with internal customers and suppliers Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrix organization to accomplish technical objectives under strict schedule constraints. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
