Responsibilities:
Engineering Services and Specifications:
You will provide high-quality engineering services and detailed specifications for the planning, design, construction, start-up, and commissioning of discipline-specific facility systems. These systems support semiconductor device and materials manufacturing. Subject Matter Expertise:
As a Subject Matter Expert, you'll have in-depth knowledge of Fire Detection and Suppression systems as well as Toxic Gas Monitoring Systems. Your expertise will be essential for achieving code compliance, implementing industry best practices, and ensuring the safety of your colleagues. System Oversight:
You'll oversee the development of physical layouts for equipment, protection and control logic, and wiring diagrams. Additionally, you'll be responsible for specifying and procuring engineered equipment. Design Scope and Cost Estimates:
You'll contribute to the development of design scopes and cost estimates, ensuring efficient and effective project planning. Minimum Requirements for This Position:
Bachelor's Degree:
You should hold a degree in engineering, engineering technology, or a related discipline. Industry Certifications:
Relevant certifications from organizations like NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) or NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) are essential.
Experience:
A minimum of 10 years' experience in maintaining life safety systems within a semiconductor manufacturing environment is preferred. Facility and Plant Engineering:
Familiarity with facility/plant engineering and fire life safety equipment (such as FAS, FPS, HPM, TGM, and Leak Detection) is crucial. Codes and Standards Knowledge:
You should have a solid understanding of relevant codes and standards, including:
NFPA 1 Fire Code NFPA 70 (NEC) for electrical design requirements NFPA 72 Fire Alarm and Signaling Code NFPA 101 Life Safety Code NFPA 400 Hazardous Materials Code ICC (International Code Council) IBC (International Building Code) IFC (International Fire Code) Travel:
