Controller - $130K to $150K plus 20% bonusWe are partnering with a stable company who is seeking a Controller to join their team.
This role is in a very nice, centrally located area in Phoenix and working closely with the CFO and CEO.
This is a role open due to promotion.
Job DescriptionSupervise the daily accounting operations ensuring compliance with company policies and all federal, state, and local laws and regulationsAnalyze and reconcile all general ledger accounts and bank statements to ensure financial information is available and accurateCompile and analyze financial information to prepare consolidated financial statements, monthly management reports and annual footnote disclosureManage treasury functions including daily cash activity, reporting and reviewing bank reconciliations, and providing timely information to management and ownersOversee AR and AP processes including invoice review, scheduling invoice payments, billings etc.
Coordination of audit activities including schedulesManage HR and payroll activities including preparation of commissions, bi-weekly payroll, and 401K contributions.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
