POSITION SUMMARY
Receives Cytology samples and performs processing for high complexity analysis as defined by CLIA 88 in an accurate and timely manner with supervision. Performs all essential functions of a Testing Level II employee, as defined by the department. In addition, is responsible for all aspects of Non Gyn specimen preparation and assists with department compliance with all pertinent laboratory accrediting agencies and regulatory requirements (e.g., CLIA 88, JCAHO, CAP, OSHA). Personnel report to department supervisor. Performs well in the absence of a supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School graduate or equivalent and,

    • Successfully completed military training of 50 or more weeks and served as a medical laboratory specialist OR,

    • Associate s degree in any field with 20 hours of chemistry and/or biological sciences credits OR,

    • 20 hours of chemistry and/or biological sciences credit with three (3) year s working in a clinical laboratory OR,

    • MLT (ASCP)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor s Degree in Chemistry, Biological Sciences, or related field.

  • Applicable laboratory experience.

  • Additional related education and/or experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
