NaphCare is hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) just like you at the Arizona Department of Corrections - Phoenix Facility located in Phoenix, AZ. Full Time Shifts, Part Time Shifts, PRN Shifts, and 8-13 week temporary contracts are available! PRN shifts and hours vary based on coverage needs for FT shifts and will be determined by site leadership and prn employee availability. Pay rates range from $36.00 - $56.00 per hour based on employment status, shift, specific facility, site needs, licensure, and experience.

NaphCare has a partnership with NetCE that provides CEU/CME for our staff. NetCE uses a rigorous peer review process to ensure that all activities and content are up-to-date. This service streamlines continuing education for all NaphCare Employees to meet state specific requirements for maintaining licensing.


Responsibilities for Registered Nurses (RNs):



  • Take and document all patient history and vital signs.

  • Perform and document all patient history and vital signs, mental health screenings and/or evaluations.

  • Respond to and initiate care for medical and mental health emergencies.

  • Assist with daily triage/sick call, minor medical/surgical procedures, patient assessments, examinations and/or treatment.

  • Initiate and document prescribed protocol agreement.

  • Respond to and initiate care for medical emergencies within the facility.

  • Observe and evaluate the performance of the licensed practical/vocational nursing staff.


Qualifications for Registered Nurses (RNs):



  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Arizona

  • Valid CPR card

  • Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in a healthcare setting, with correctional healthcare experience preferred

  • Position may require he/she to stand or walk for long periods of time while performing duties
