Junior Quality Assurance Analyst Job
Summary:
As a Junior Quality Assurance Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting in the testing and quality assurance processes for our software products.
This role involves creating and executing test cases, identifying and reporting defects, and collaborating with other QA team members and developers to ensure product quality.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for ensuring high-quality products.
Responsibilities:
Create, execute, and maintain test cases and test scripts based on product requirements and design documents.
Identify, document, and report software defects and issues using tracking tools.
Collaborate with developers and other QA team members to reproduce and troubleshoot defects.
Participate in test planning and design sessions to understand product features and functionality.
Conduct manual testing and, as appropriate, assist with automated testing.
Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing to ensure stability and reliability.
Support the QA team in maintaining a comprehensive test suite.
Document test results and provide feedback to developers and other stakeholders.
Assist in creating and maintaining test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Some experience with software testing or quality assurance, either through coursework, internships, or previous employment.
Understanding of software testing methodologies and concepts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to product quality.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.
g.
, JIRA, Bugzilla) and test management software is a plus.
Experience with automated testing tools is a plus but not required.
