We are seeking to fill a software developer role on our HP Asset Manager development team. Our ideal candidate will be a highly-qualified, dedicated, and hands-on developer with experience in the following areas related to HP Asset Manager: ConnectIT, HPAM wizard creation, SACM knowledge/experience, SW and HW license tracking and compliance experience using Software Asset Management (SAM) module, and experience with developing integrations with other HP tools and enterprise systems. Having a diverse background, where experience was formed by working with multiple organizations and industries using Asset Manager in support of ITIL v3 best practices, is a big plus.
Major Duties/Responsibilities
1. Works with other members of the Asset Management support team to develop solutions that meet the needs of Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) processes as well as that of broader ITIL initiatives that depend upon effective Asset Management
2. Configure Asset Manager including maintaining and developing screens, wizards, work flows, custom fields, and custom tables
3. Provides hands-on technical role in planning, designing, implementing/integrating, upgrading, and administering the HP Asset Manager technical environment and related applications
4. Adheres to agile development and planning methodologies to deliver high quality solutions that consistently meet requirements
5. Quickly and effectively identifies and resolves production issues and end-user requests
6. Provides guidance and shares expertise with other developers to help improve their capabilities in support of the above mentioned tools and technologies
7. Follows development methodology including writing technical designs, implementation plans, unit test scripts, system test scripts, and user acceptance test scripts
8. Provides engineering support to end users as well as other technical teams involved with Asset Manager
Qualifications
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
1. Well-versed in all tailoring aspects of HP Asset Manager including the ability to write and interpret HP AM wizards, ConnectIT scripting, and integrating with other HP tools like Software Asset Management (SAM) module, uCMDB, Service Manager as well as with ERP systems such as SAP
2. Must have strong SQL database programming skills (Oracle pl-SQL a plus), with a solid understanding of query formulation and performance
3. Must be comfortable working within a terminal-based Linux environment using shell scripting skills
4. Familiar with large scale implementations of Service Manager and Service Asset Configuration Management (SACM)
5. Familiar with procurement and asset management business functions
6. Able to tune and improve the performance of Asset Manager
Knowledge in these areas is a plus:
Tomcat configuration/administration experience
Familiarity with Networking (SNMP, SSH, WMI, NetBIOS, TCP/IP protocols, Layer2)
Solid understanding of Enterprise Class operating systems (Windows Server and Linux)
Proficiency in programming and/or scripting languages such as Cypress Basic, VB, Perl, Python, Javascript, C/C++, and Java
Education/Training
Bachelor's degree in technical discipline preferred or equivalent experience required
Experience
2-4 years Asset Manager
Experience: Version 5.0 or higher
Candidates with HP uCMDB/RTSM, HP DDMA/I, Microsoft SCCM, Radia, or HP Universal Discovery experience is a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
