Job
Summary: Oversee the implementation and administration of computer and telecommunication networks for the multi-site company. Ensure the integrity of information stored and transmitted on networks, as well as improve networks' capabilities as technology advances.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Systems Administration, provide administration and support for workstations, Windows servers, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Hyper-V, and backup systems.
Network Administration, including basic knowledge of VLANs, network routing, desktop and enterprise firewalls, DHCP and DNS administration.
Security Administration, including desktop, network, policy and physical access enforcement for IT assets and applications.
Storage Administration, including design, implementation, and maintenance of SAN and NAS devices.
Design, specify, configure, install and maintain local area network hardware, software and telecommunications services such as personal computers, system software, software applications, printers, servers, routers, switches, modems, cabling and Internet service providers.
Develop and implement policies and procedures related to network hardware and software acquisition, use, support, security and backup.
Establish and maintain network users, user environment, directories and security.
Train users on software and equipment usage.
Respond to the needs and questions of network users concerning their access to resources on the network and the operation of various software programs.
Develop and communicate standards for use, operations and security of network, personal computers and data.
Communicate with other departments to report and resolve software, hardware and operations problems.
Research, evaluate and make recommendations for replacement, upgrade and new technologies/hardware/ software.
Negotiate contracts with and coordinate activities of hardware, software, telecommunications, support and training vendors.
Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery procedures.
Provide end-user support of ESI telephones.
Administer and monitor Cisco network infrastructure on a daily basis.
Maintain, monitor, develop, upgrade and support systems, including servers, workstations, operating systems, hardware, software and peripherals.
Maintain the data center environment for server expansion, including cabling, air conditioning, power, etc.
Document and maintain asset lists of hardware, software and equipment.
Serve as liaison with outside agencies and support vendors in problem resolution and in planning system designs.
Provide day-to-day administration and support, including maintenance, troubleshooting and technical support services for users throughout the organization.
Provide day-to-day monitoring and maintenance of all telecommunication systems.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with all outside vendors.
Provide problem analysis and formulate resolution action plan.
Minimum Education and
Experience:
Required:
o Bachelors Degree in Computer Information Systems, Networking, Computer Science or closely related discipline
o 5 years experience functioning as a network/systems administrator with network, system, storage, and telecommunication responsibilities
Preferred:
o Experience in an IT and/or software industry organization
o CCNA, CCNP, MCSE certifications

Required Skills:
Working knowledge of Windows 2003-2012R2, SQL Server, Hyper-V, fail-over clustering, IIS, Active Directory, Exchange 2010, Windows Clients, MS Office.
Solid understanding of the principles of switching. Routing and IP sub-netting Network Administration, including basic knowledge of VLANs, network routing, desktop and enterprise firewalls, DHCP and DNS administration.
Proven understanding of SAN and NAS storage infrastructures (Compellent and EMC preferred).
Experience working with Cisco switches, including VLANs, trunking, spanning tree, voice-VLANs, QoS, WAN accelerators and ACLs. Wireless LAN management experience, familiarity with access point configuration, maintenance and support.
General understanding of security administration, including desktop, network, policy and physical access enforcement for IT assets and applications.
Familiarity with firewalls and firewall policy management (specifically Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance).
Experience working with Ethernet including, cabling requirements, Fiber and SFP / GBIC modules.
Experience balancing strategic, long-term project work with imperative, short-term administration and support activities.
General understanding of the OSI model and the operation of IP, UDP and TCP protocols.
Experience managing the network core services/protocols for an organization, including DNS, DCHP, SSH, FTP/SFTP, SMTP, NTP, etc.

Have, or be able to obtain, a TOP SECRET security clearance.

Be physically able to assist with server moves and equipment installation and relocation.
Be willing to travel 10% of the time.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
