The Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES) is seeking dynamic, highly professional team members to deliver a new Leadership Development Program (LDP) that will support the agency's more than 1,500 supervisors statewide. As the program is new, team members will also be able to help shape the program and make it world-class! Team members will work collaboratively across all functions in the agency, and with leaders at all levels. Successful candidates will have a passion for leadership development, as well as public service, and will be creative and take initiative while remaining faithful to the goals of the program. TheLeadership Development Program and Projects Specialist (Program and Projects Specialist I) is responsible for the support and administrative aspects of the Leadership Development Program, including: tracking program progress and completion for 1,500 supervisors; coordinating program activities, including coordinating training and event schedules; marketing, including design, creation, and dissemination of marketing products; communicating regarding the Leadership Development Program via multiple delivery methods to include collaborative and social media; coordinating Leadership Development Program-related projects; and collecting data related to the program.
Knowledge of: Customer service and communication principles, practices, processes, and tools; work and project planning and organizing concepts, practices, processes and tools; basics of data tracking and reporting principles, practices, processes, and tools; basic working knowledge of training-related technologies such as learning management systems and survey instruments; basic visual design; collaboration and social media platforms from the end-user perspective (e.g., SharePoint); and federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and procedures.
Skill in: Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relations; demonstrating effective oral and written communications; problem solving; project coordination; simple data collection; scheduling resources; expert use of common software packages (MS Office), especially Excel; use of training-related technologies such as learning management systems and survey instruments; reporting; planning and organizing; scheduling own work; building strategic working relationships; visual design basics; and collaborative and social media platforms (e.g., SharePoint).

NOTE: In-state travel is required. Requires possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver's license appropriate to the assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver's license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.). Employees may be required to use their own transportation as well as maintaining valid motor vehicle insurance and current Arizona vehicle registration; however, mileage will be reimbursed.
IDEAL/PREFERRED CANDIDATE: Will possess one or more years' administrative or support experience, preferably in the training industry; some experience designing tracking systems and/or spreadsheets and/or databases; some experience with marketing; and some experience with planning and scheduling.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
