Position Summary
With direction from QA management, this position is responsible for the development and modification of test plans and scripts, both manual and automated, to ensure the quality, reliability, scalability, and monitoring of both existing and new software applications.
Primary Accountabilities
Develops and implements testing techniques, plans, and scripts to sufficiently test the functionality and load capacity of new and existing applications by working with information technology personnel and business users and utilizing appropriate quality assurance tools and techniques
Supervises the modification and maintenance of both manual and automated test scripts, as required, to accommodate new software releases of target applications
Provides performance and functional test results on the test and production application systems to allow information technology personnel to make informed and knowledgeable application and database upgrades. This includes providing performance and functional reports of test and production systems affected by an upgrade
Participates in the development of guidelines and standards for all, existing and future, applications, databases, and systems
Designs and maintains a monitoring framework, in conjunction with other information technology teams, which monitors all production systems and applications, as well as alerts production application owners and teams as appropriate
May provide direction and support to less experienced quality assurance analysts to assist them and help them increase their understanding of more complex Quality Assurance techniques
May direct or perform activities, which include but are not limited to, obtaining requirements for and performing capacity testing, obtaining and analyzing systems performance data, and evaluating targeted application user interfaces
Prepares activity and progress reports for software quality assurance activities and provides status reports to information technology management as required or apparent
Performs other duties as assigned or apparent
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
A thorough knowledge and understanding of computer science as typically obtained through the completions of a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
A significant understanding and knowledge of modern test methods, commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the quality assurance field is required
Expert knowledge of automated test tools, automated load generation tools, and application performance monitoring tools is required
Expert knowledge of Windows and UNIX development environments
Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers and department staff, as described above
Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work/collaborate with development and other QA teams to assist in crucial troubleshooting skills and integration testing
Ability to lead efforts and the supervision or direction of a quality assurance staff
Expert knowledge of all phases in the SDLC
Detail oriented, an analytical and independent thinker
Ability to clearly document processes
Expert knowledge in Agile SCRUM team
Ability to drive tasks to completion and escalate as necessary
Basic Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and directly related experience, is required
A minimum of 4 years of experience in Software QA
A minimum of 2 years of SQL experience
A minimum of 2 years of experience working with automated testing tools such as QTP
A minimum of 4 years of experience working with WinRunner/LoadRunner
Additional Qualifications
Experience with the supervision or direction of a quality assurance staff preferred
Experience in ALM/QC in the following preferred:
Uploading test cases
Creating and executing test cases
Experience in defect tracking and resolution (tool agnostic) preferred

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
