The Information Technology Department has an opening for a Senior Hardware Provisioning Engineer. This position is located in Phoenix, Arizona.
Position Function:
The Senior Hardware Provisioning Engineer will plan and install new hardware and cabling in the computer room. This position also oversees: all technical details of new IT and network equipment installation, removal, cabling and planning of the data center floor space to support business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Plans, organizes, advises and directs all Installation of computer hardware systems maintains Raised Floor Infrastructure, leads regular planning meetings for installation and other related projects regularly
Deals with vendors associated in the support of projects or equipment for the raised floor infrastructure
Raised floor space planning, installation and de-installation of computer equipment and network communications systems and cabling
Performs bench testing and component upgrades of hard drives and memory
Is part of the data center facilities team, participates in the operation and maintenance of the facility systems when required
Qualifications:
Bachelor, Associate Degree in Computer Science, Technical Training and 6 years of experience in a similar capacity.
Hands on experience in Tier II, III or IV data center environments
6 years of large data center experience hardware installation and cabling,

years of data center hardware Servers, storage, Main Frame, Networks

data center facility knowledge/experience
Strong knowledge of data center raised floor environment.
Strong analytical ability, judgment and problem analysis techniques.
Excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
Strong ability to understand customer expectations and to resolve issues that may affect delivery.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization.
Understanding of power infrastructure and cooling systems for the data center
Knowledge of data center engineering raised floor and hardware design topology
Knowledge and familiarity with IT hardware systems, servers, processors, large frame equipment, DASD, tape, switches and other standard equipment.
Proficient IT Hardware and components, Experience with copper and fiber network communications equipment and cables.
Knowledge of multiple HW platform infrastructure requirements including: Cisco, Wintel, IBM, EMC, SUN and HP.
Proficient with commercial server and storage systems, ability to remove, replace memory and hard drives.
Experienced in telecom 56k through OC-48 terminations and Ethernet 10/100/1000 over UTP, Coax and terminations.
Experienced in data center environmental wiring specifications and standards either in a central serving office, co-locate or large campus facility.
Ability to use electrical, fiber and other test meters
Attention to cabling symmetry, organization and uniformity a must.
Proficient in the use of Visio, Auto CAD, cable labeling and data base programs
Self-starter, with a demonstrated ability to learn beyond formal training with a strong aptitude for delivering quality products.
Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
Other Duties as they relate to the raised floor and position overall as required.
