The Consultant is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of the company's ATM products on a customer site via the defined delivery process (currently AIM). The Consultant's participation begins in the sales cycle (Bid process) and carries through project definition and initiation, to implementation and education. Also takes a lead role in providing first and second level support.
General Duties & Responsibilities
Champion for the AIM Process and FIS Products within an account.
Installs, configures and troubleshoots ATM product line either at customer site or remotely.
Project Management and Delivery of FIS Software Products to Customers according to prescribed processes.
Reporting of AIM/Consultancy Projects via Project Assurance Process and JIRA ticketing system.
Liaison with Sales/presales to define a customer's requirements via the Bid Process and Requirements Definition Document and respond to Requests for Estimation (RFE).
Participation in, and technical steering of, the project initiation workshop.
Acts as Technical Authority on the customer project, providing support and guidance to the customer, delivery team and to the Product Development staff as appropriate.
Works with the Product Manager to define and prioritize product enhancements.
Liaises with the Head of Delivery Centre to ensure the company's project commitments are met and escalates issues as appropriate.
Provides education to customer staff on the use of the company's products.
Provision of first and second level product support to the customer base served by the Delivery Centre via the FIS Customer Support, Patch Testing, and Release Processes.
Ability to clearly articulate technical issues both verbally and in writing
Liaison with Product development when escalation on support issues is required
Participation in account management meetings when requested by Delivery Centers.
Liaison with other suppliers in customer projects to ensure high quality results for the customer.
Participation in the Performance and Development process.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business or a related field or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
General Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Broad understanding of the ATM/SST, card and bank payment market processes in region.
Functional and Business expertise in ATM software and ATM switching technologies
Functional and Business expertise in card and payment technologies
At least 3 years experience in developing and supporting product software.
Solid knowledge of Windows and registry settings
Experience with the installation or maintenance of ATM hardware or software
Experience with VMware
Technical skills in required third-party software and systems.
Good communication skills (written and verbal) and excellent presentation skills.
Adaptable and flexible in approach to providing services across the company.
Proven use of Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Demonstrable understanding of project management issues and techniques.
Strong relationship building skills both internally and externally.
Responsive, reliable and results oriented with the ability to execute on aggressive plans.
Ability to travel regionally
Demonstrated experience in establishing working relationships with customers and partners.
Degree level education.
Software Product development/delivery background desirable.
Intermediate professional role requiring high skill with extensive proficiency. Works independently with only administrative supervision and the ability to overcome major obstacles and recognize early when issues should be escalated or a senior peer needs to be consulted. Wide latitude for independent judgment and is expected to provide guidance and cross-training to others. Effectively communicates with all levels of technical and non-technical personnel. Ability to negotiate complex processes and issues with others. Exhibits a detailed knowledge of specific applications and has profited from individual projects and various learning experiences to build up an ever-growing knowledge base of the system. Provides new and innovative alternative solutions to system challenges and brainstorms alternatives to a given problem. Contributes to the development, documentation and implementation of standards or guidelines. Typically requires a minimum of three years implementation and/or conversion experience with a demonstrated ability to handle medium project complexity.
