Clinical Psychologist

Responsible for providing full range of psychological services for both inpatients and outpatients who have severe mental health problems. Administers and interprets psychological tests for patients of all ages to identify organic and functional causes of mental and physical disorders Provides appropriate counseling, psychodiagnosis, and psychotherapy services to patients of all ages Works in a collegial fashion providing consultative services as needed with other disciplines such as social work, psychiatry and family practice to provide a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care. To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. Individual Occupational Requirements:
Degree:
major or equivalent in psychology for all specializations except clinical psychology and counseling psychology. These two specializations have additional educational requirements, as stated below:
Clinical psychology:
For positions at grades GS-11 and above, satisfactory completion of all the requirements for the doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology is required. Counseling psychology:
For positions at grades GS-9 and above, satisfactory completion of 2 full academic years of graduate study directly related to professional work in counseling psychology, or satisfactory completion in an accredited educational institution of all the requirements for a master's degree directly related to counseling psychology is required. License:
Must possess and maintain a valid, current, unrestricted license or certification in any state. In addition, to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below. MINIMUM
Qualifications:
GS-13:
Applicant must have completed one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-12) to qualify for the GS-13 grade level.Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:
Dealing with high stress situations, providing individual, group or family counseling sessions, preparing written documentation, providing immediate care and services to individuals in a trauma, anxiety, or psychotic crisis state, conducting psychological tests. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements:
Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
