The incumbent is an integral part of the GPD team. The incumbent works with PVAHCS multidisciplinary teams and community agencies to create effective and efficient ways to track data, monitor grantees performance and maintain records. Some duties include:
Provides customer service and coordination; data analysis, special program projects, Events, performance measure reporting and completes data from the VSSC and HOMES Data Systems. Oversee trend data identifiers which demonstrate usage, repetitive process, specified outliers and support data trends as needed by the program. Maintains billing spreadsheets, communicate with both the Administrative Officer for Social Work Department and Fiscal to ensure the appropriate and accurate funds and documents are in place to facilitate payment to the grantees. Organizes and maintains a flexible yet effective administrative workload schedule, determining daily and weekly priorities. Maintains the Program database, assists in maintaining available resources and makes recommendations regarding the needs and distribution of resources; coordinate correspondence for the program and assists in the daily operation of the program. Supports all Homeless Program staff; coordinates and collects necessary data for the program; as well as other programs. Provides telephone support by greeting veterans requesting assistance; puts them at ease by listening to their requests; determines the nature of Veteran's care needs, questions, or complaints. Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-05 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-04. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. Specialized
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-04 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Experience using Microsoft programs and computers. Ordering office supplies and equipment. Assisting in completion of assigned actions for tracking or reporting. Using oral and written communication skills with internal and external customers, particularly military populations within a homeless/medical/psychiatric environment. Preparing regular routine reports, Monitor, report, and maintain time and attendance. Coordinating the routine review of multiple documents on a regular basis, ensuring material is compliant with local and national guidelines. Taking, transcribing, and distributing meeting minutes. Coordinating travel, appointments, meetings, and/or conferences, keeping meeting minutes. Assisting with the organization and coordination of all administrative and clinical functions and operations. OR, Education:
Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have 4 years above high school:
Four years of successfully completed education above the high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite is creditable for this position. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school. TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED . OR, Combination:
Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have an combination of specialized experience and education beyond the second year is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement at the GS-5 grade level. Physical Requirements:
This is primary a sedentary position, but the work requires some walking, bending, stooping, standing, stretching, and the carrying of moderately heavy objects.This position also, requires frequent use of the hand-held telephone while accessing different computer systems or while writing.
