The Vice President, Scientific Marketing, through collaboration with all key functions, will lead the scientific marketing team, based out of Phoenix, AZ, and drive the global commercial go to market strategy and implementation for the Caris molecular science and artificial intelligence product portfolio.
This position is responsible for developing the overall product/portfolio vision, strategy and implementation plan including life cycle management, resource optimization and product launch strategy in the US and potential global markets.
This individual will also be responsible for representing the commercial organization and providing cross-functional leadership by actively partnering with Clinical Development, Research, Medical Affairs, Finance, Market Access, Legal/Regulatory, Corporate Communications and Business Development teams, to develop and implement an integrated global product strategy and coordinated execution.
This individual will be an active member of Caris's senior marketing and strategy leadership team to shape and inform Caris's go to market commercial and business strategy.
This individual will have a strong grasp of the precision medicine landscape, a high scientific and business acumen and will responsible for identifying and proactively resolving product issues or needs related to commercial circumstance and market demands.

Responsibilities:
Build a diverse multifunctional life cycle and early commercial team providing cross-functional partnership across research, development, market access and commercial/marketing activitiesDevelop a unified product portfolio vision and strategy based on target product profiles, key claims and market insights for the portfolioMobilize the organization to maximize the value of the Caris MI/AI portfolio over the entire lifecycle by developing and implementing strategic life cycle, product development and launch plans for each product that meet patient and customer needsConduct targeted market and competitive research in collaboration with the team to develop and establish product positioning, messaging, revenue forecast and NPV valuations, as well as support regulatory, pricing and reimbursement strategic approachesLead forecasting and budgeting efforts to optimize P&L across the portfolio and programsDevelop a deep understanding of all key stakeholders and build meaningful relationships with key internal and external partners, including thought leaders, regional/national partners, speakers, patient advocacy groups, professional societies and agencies to prepare for a successful launch and subsequent growthPartner across functions to architect the optimal commercial strategy, launch plan, resources and subsequent growth plan for Caris, and contribute to post-launch commercial success.
Collaborate with BD and other executive members to optimize portfolio assets and evaluate Caris's approach in other key growth markets outside of the USRecruit, hire and develop diverse life cycle and early commercial teams; contribute and shape the company's culture and values to drive impact for patients, customers and CarisProactively identify risk, inclusive of challenges/mitigation.
Provide commercial sign-off on all medically/clinically related content and messaging.
Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, and ExperienceMust have experience in commercial leadership, product strategy/marketing, life cycle management, preferably in OncologyPrior healthcare leadership experience (in vitro diagnostic, medical device, pharmaceutical, etc.
), molecular science experience preferred Must be able to work across levels and functions (including, but not limited to Commercial teams, R&D, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Legal and Regulatory) in the organization to drive delivery of strategic decisions and prioritiesAbility to develop, communicate and execute short and long-term strategic planningMust be well organized and have the ability to meet strict deadlines and perform under pressure in a fast-paced work environmentStrong executive presence, presentation, communication and leadership skillsProficient computer skills, which include Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and WordEducation, Certification/Licensure, and/or ExperiencePhD or MD degree required, MBA preferred15+ years product planning/marketing, lifecycle management and executionPrior experience managing multi-level teams.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
