Logistic - Dispatcher/Order Taker
Job Summary
The Order Taker/Dispatcher reports to the Dispatch Manager and will be responsible for coordinating schedules of Ready-Mix deliveries. Main duties will include taking, shipping, scheduling or orders and effectively communicating with customers, drivers, and the sales team.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for efficient and timely delivery of materials based on customer demand.
- Taking orders and order changes from customers and sales representatives.
- Entering orders and printing tickets using a computer.
- Coordinating by radio with drivers, service, and sales representatives.
- Coordinate special jobs with quality control, service, scheduling, and operations.
- Assisting with resolution of customers delivery issues and customers complaints.
Education
High school diploma/GED
Requirements/Qualifications
- Three to five years Dispatch experience in a Central Dispatch within the constructions materials industry.
- Ready Mix experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge and compliance with Department of Transportation Regulations directly affecting our drivers.
- Understanding of cement related delivery and product usage preferred.
- Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) and interact positively with fairly broad rand of customers (internal and external), vendors and contractors.
- Customer service orientation.
- Proficient with computer systesm (i.e. Microsoft products (especially Excel), Dispatch systems).

Conditions of Employment
