Traffic Signal and Lighting Technician II / Electrical Inspector:

Assigned to Vision Field Office and ADOT Electrical Inspections.


Duties include: Electrical Field Inspection of Freeway Management Systems, loop and video

detection systems,Inspection of conduit and wire systems, fiber optics installations, electrical

concrete pads, Inspection of preemption signaling inspection of Traffic Signal installation,

Roadway Lighting installations Working knowledge of the National Electric Codes and Local

Regulations. Managed state awarded electrical installation contracts for the Department of

Transportation,this included reading the prints, specifications, addendum, contract bid notes,

and any other related documents for accuracy, conformity to national, state, and local Codes.


Physical Plant Supervisor I (9-month acting position full pay grade)

Assigned to Facilities Management and Support Group


Duties included: Devised work schedules, including priorities, inspected work and work areas

to determine any problems and hazards to work functions; appropriate action taken to resolve

any such issues. Resolved problems and questions regarding work methods and processes.

Planned for use of materials and staff resources. Supervised, instructed, and counseled

workers and prepared employee evaluations. Maintained complete and accurate records of:

materials, equipment utilization, conditions, values, locations, and man-hours required for

projects.


Electrician

Assigned to Facilities Management and Support Group


Duties include: Maintenance and installation of electrical systems throughout ADOT

properties. Trouble shooting and maintenance of electrical power panels and distribution

switchgear. Trouble shooting, installation and maintenance of lighting systems. Trouble

shooting and maintaining transformers, automatic transfer switches, generators, UPS systems,

Installation and maintenance of low voltage systems such as security, fire protection,

entry access systems. Working knowledge of the National Electric Codes and Local

Regulations.
