Vehicle Description 1979 Mercedes 450SL-driver quality Color is Medium Red, I was told the by the previous owner the paint is original and it likely could be with signs of age and a couple spots where the clear has worn through (see the photos).
Body is very straight, no dents or dings, panel fitment is good.
Car lived near the coast for awhile and there are a couple small bubbles on the trunk lid and left front fender, as well as some surface corrosion around the jack points on the lower rockers but no other rust I've found on the body.
Mechanically it runs strong with no issues, just did a tune up with new plugs, wires, cap and rotor.
Starts up with no issues every time and runs smooth.
A/C and heater works, lights function with no issues.
Original Becker radio was replaced with a newer head unit with BlueTooth audio streaming and component speakers added in the back.
Interior is in good shape and all original as well, the original dash pad is cracked so a molded cap is installed over it.
Seats and door panels are in good shape for their age and originality.
The car comes with a black soft top in good shape but the plastic windows are foggy.
Also has a removable hardtop with electric defrost glass window.
Good driver level car that's turnkey and ready to go for spring driving.
May be open to trades for other interesting cars with cash involved.
